In alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to contribute to human capital development and enhance quality of life, Jeddah Central Development Company (JCDC), wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund and the master developer of the Jeddah Central Development Project, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Eradah Association for Gifted Persons with Disabilities. The MoU aims to conduct research focused on persons with disabilities and ensure that their needs are incorporated into the engineering foundations and detailed designs of the project, which aspires to deliver a diverse range of services addressing all accessibility and inclusion requirements. The signing reflects the company’s commitment to offering the Jeddah community an integrated ecosystem of purposeful services that enhance quality of life.
The company also signed a Diamond Sponsorship Agreement with the association for the Ammar Award 2022, supporting creative individuals with disabilities in its sixth local edition and second GCC edition, as part of its social responsibility initiatives.
The Ammar Award for supporting gifted persons with disabilities is the first award of its kind globally, dedicated to discovering and celebrating the creative and exceptional talents of this valued segment of society. It aims to highlight the Kingdom’s leadership role—alongside participants from GCC countries—in championing and empowering talents with disabilities, promoting community engagement to foster inclusion, and increasing media visibility for their achievements.
It is worth noting that Jeddah Central Development Company adopts a comprehensive and integrated sustainability strategy, reflecting its commitment to maximizing its economic, social, and environmental impact by working closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve sustainable development. This sponsorship represents one of the first outcomes of this strategic direction, which focuses on community development through diverse initiatives and activities serving multiple sectors.
The Jeddah Central Project aims to create a world-class destination in the heart of Jeddah, spanning 5.7 million square meters, with a total investment of SAR 75 billion to develop high-quality projects across key sectors (tourism, sports, culture, and entertainment). The project showcases Jeddah’s cultural identity and authentic architectural heritage in a modern and dynamic framework, while applying the latest technologies and the highest standards of sustainability and environmental stewardship. It will feature four iconic global landmarks: an opera house, a museum, a sports stadium, and oceanarium facilities with coral farms.
